Breathe with Me at Gerisch - Stiftung
Jeppe Hein: The best things in life aren't things
Jeppe Hein's solo exhibition at Gerisch – Stiftung(Foundation) offers visitors two distinct art experiences - the
opportunity to view his artworks and to create their own. At the heart of the exhibition are works that explore
the interplay between the body and mind, enhancing our awareness and encouraging introspection. Visitors are
invited to actively participate by painting their own breath and faces on the museum walls. Engaging with the
evolving artworks throughout the exhibition immerses visitors in an environment that heightens their sensory
perception and encourages a more liberated approach to art. Additionally, a connection emerges among visitors as
their works stand side by side, visible to both current and future visitors. Whether consciously or
unconsciously influenced by the exhibition's sensory encounters, visitors will carry the impact of these
experiences into their daily lives.
