Breathe with Me at Moderna Museet

As a part of his solo exhibition Who are you really? at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Sweden, Jeppe Hein presented two iterations of Breathe with Me. Directly in front of the museum, visitors were invited to breathe on a massive curved wall, adding their breathe to a chorus of other ultramarine blue lines. Within the museum, an entire gallery in the museum’s permanent collection was dedicated to Breathe with Me. Over the course of the three-month-long exhibition, both walls became a deep blue from visitors layering their painted breath over and over each other.
